  1. General
    1. In using Mr Prepaid’s services the users agree to all the terms and conditions Mr Prepaid reserves the right to adjust the terms and conditions from time to time without prior notification.
    2. These terms and conditions will not in any way overrule or eliminate or adjust the terms and conditions entered between the client, the bank and/or any service provider.
    3. Users acknowledge that Mr Prepaid does not hold a banking license and cannot hold funds on their behalf which are not the proceeds of payments made by them to purchase specific goods or products.
  2. Intellectual Property and Copyright
    1. Third Parties or users may not use the Mr Prepaid logo, proprietary graphic or any other trademark of Mr Prepaid to link to this Site without the express written permission of Mr Prepaid. Mr Prepaid may revoke this right at any time. Third Parties or users are granted a limited; non-exclusive right to create a link to this Site provided such a link does not portray Mr Prepaid in a false, misleading, derogatory or otherwise defamatory manner.
    2. All the data, content and trademarks on this web site, including but not limited to text, databases, software, graphics, icons, hyperlinks, video clips, private information, designs and agreements, are the property of, or are licensed to Mr Prepaid. All these are protected from infringement by any third party, by local and international legislation and treaties.
  3. Service Delivery
    1. Transactions will only be processed once the payment has been cleared by the bank. Payment methods accepted are EFT (Internet, Wire transfers) Cell Phone Banking Payments or Direct Deposits. We do not accept cheques for any reason.
    2. Mr Prepaid endeavours to affect most recharges in less than 15 minutes, however Mr Prepaid does not in any way guarantee any turnaround time as Mr Prepaid has to rely on third parties and has no control over those systems and procedures.
    3. In order to avoid fraud and corruption no duplicate recharge attempts will be processed i.e. the same meter number with the exact same amount will not be allowed through within 76 hours. To avoid delays simply ensure the second or additional payment differs slightly from the previous amount.
    4. In the event that a recharge voucher/token or pin has not been received, and Mr Prepaid has been made aware of the fact, Mr Prepaid will answer all such queries quickly and efficiently. However, kindly note that as Mr Prepaid is reliant on third parties there may be delays in receiving information required to resolve the problem. All queries will be dealt with in order of receipt and not perceived urgency/importance or status of the user. In the event of a critical system failure of any third party or Mr Prepaid, communication could be delayed in order to ensure all customers receive relevant communication.
    5. All payments received for a recharge voucher/token or pin with a valid reference number cannot be refunded. All recharge vouchers/tokens or pins already processed cannot be reversed or refunded, this includes but is not limited to payments in excess of the user’s needs, transactions on the wrong electrical meter number, wrong cell number or wrong service provider.
    6. If a recharge voucher/token or pin has not been issued, Mr Prepaid will contact the user for clarification regarding the payment made. In the event that Mr Prepaid is unable to supply the recharge voucher/token or pin, the payment received will be refunded. Such a refund will be affected within 15 business days, once Mr Prepaid has received the necessary bank details of that particular user. See 4.5 and 7.2
    7. All services and products sold are subject to availability and Mr Prepaid is entitled to stop selling them at any time. Should Mr Prepaid be unable to supply the product or service paid for, the payment will be refunded. However Mr Prepaid will not be held liable for any loss of any nature due to Mr Prepaid being unable to supply the services or product purchased.
  4. Fees and charges
    1. Mr Prepaid reserves the right to deduct any or all costs and legal fees from anyone using their provided method of purchasing recharge vouchers/tokens or pins through electronic platforms. The user shall be responsible to supply sufficient proof of payment to the satisfaction of both the Bank and/or Mr Prepaid should the user claim a recharge or refund.
    2. The tariff or price payable per unit for any recharge voucher/token or pin is determined by the service provider and/or municipality and NOT Mr Prepaid.
    3. All prices are inclusive of V.A.T.
    4. USSD services will be charged at standard rates
    5. An admin fee of 10% will be deducted from the approved claim amount to be refunded in the case of credit card payments, cash payments or any other type of payment where bank fees are charged. See point 3.5; 3.6 and 7.2 In the event of the refund being less than R50 or more than R1500 a minimum of R5 and a maximum of R150 will be deducted.
    6. A 10% handling fee with a minimum of R150 will be deducted from the refund of meters being returned on the condition that the meter(s) has not been installed, is still in the original packaging and is returned within 30 days of purchase. In the event that the meter has already been installed Mr Prepaid will determine the amount to be refunded if any.
  5. User conduct and responsibility
    1. It is the user’s responsibility to familiarize themselves with the terms and conditions and to check for and take note of any changes that have been made.
    2. The user acknowledges and accepts a possible delay between any of the third parties involved and Mr Prepaid to successfully affect a transaction.
    3. Kindly note that it is the user’s responsibility to supply sufficient and original Proof of Payment with the correct cell number or meter number to be recharged for a successful transaction.
    4. Mr Prepaid has accounts at ABSA, Standard Bank, FNB, Nedbank and Capitec. Payments from any other financial institution must please be made to Mr Prepaid’s ABSA account. Users acknowledge that payments from one financial institution to a different financial institution can take 48 hours to reflect in the recipient’s account, and will ensure that purchases are made timeously
    5. It is the responsibility of the user to notify Mr Prepaid within 15 minutes, should   their recharge voucher/token or pin not have been received. Mr Prepaid will check for the unprocessed transaction by the reconciliation of Mr Prepaid’s relevant bank statements, however this could take up to 7 working days from the date of the statement.
  6. Privacy
    1. Users information will not be given to any third party unless the user has given their express permission.
  7. Disclaimer and Warranty
    1. Mr Prepaid is merely a payment platform and does not guarantee the recharge vouchers/tokens or pins it supplies. The recharge vouchers/tokens or pins are generated by third parties. These companies are ultimately responsible to ensure that the product supplied is in working order. Should any recharge voucher/token or pin not be in working order Mr Prepaid will do everything in its power to assist the user in obtaining the correct recharge voucher/token or pin, by giving all relevant contact details of suppliers to the users, however in providing the relevant information Mr Prepaid does not in any way acknowledge responsibility for the recharge voucher/token or pin, but is merely acting in the interest of connecting the end user and supplier, and this should not be interpreted differently.
    2. Transactions processed with incorrect electrical meter number as supplied by the user cannot be reversed. Mr Prepaid can also not be held responsible for any loss of any kind (consequential, data, profit or revenue). See 3.5 and 4.5
    3. Users understand and agree that this site and the information, services, products and materials available through the site and Mr Prepaid’s staff are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. You expressly agree that the use of this service is at your own sole risk.
    4. To the fullest extent permissible according to applicable law, Mr Prepaid and its affiliates disclaim all warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied, including but not limited to any warranties of title, or implied warranties of merchant ability or fitness for a particular purpose. No oral or written information provided by Mr Prepaid or its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, providers, merchants, sponsors, licensors or the like shall create a warranty; nor shall you rely on any such advice or information.
    5. You expressly agree that the use of this site and Mr Prepaid’s services, including all content, data or software distributed by, downloaded or accessed from or through this site, is at your sole risk. You understand and agree that you will be solely responsible for any damage to your business or your computer system or loss of data that results from the download of such content, data and/or software.
    6. You acknowledge that Mr Prepaid or any of its affiliates do not in any respect control any information, products or services offered by third parties on or through this site, except as otherwise agreed in writing. Mr Prepaid and its affiliates assume no responsibility for and make no warranty or representation as to the accuracy, currency, completeness, reliability or usefulness of content or products distributed or made available by third parties through this site.
    7. Neither Mr Prepaid nor any affiliate makes any warranty that this site, Mr Prepaid’s services or its contents will meet your requirements, or that the site, service or content will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or that defects, if any, will be corrected. Mr Prepaid does not represent or warrant that materials in this site or information provided by Mr Prepaid are accurate, complete, reliable, current or error free whatsoever. Nor does Mr Prepaid make any warranty as to the results that may be obtained from use of Mr Prepaid, this site, it’s content or as to the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any information obtained through use of this site.
    8. Mr Prepaid assumes no responsibility for: Any damages suffered by a user, including, but not limited to, loss of data from delays, non-deliveries of content, sms’s or e-mail, network or system outages, file corruption or service interruptions caused by the negligence of Mr Prepaid, its affiliates or a user’s own errors and/or omissions. Mr Prepaid disclaims any warranty or representation that confidentiality of information transmitted through this web site will be maintained. All the information appearing on this site is provided without representation or warranty whatsoever, whether expressed or implied, and Mr Prepaid and its affiliates disclaim any liability to the user in this regard.
    9. Mr Prepaid will not be liable for any loss (consequential, data, profit, revenue or any other loss) due to incorrect information supplied by a client such as but not limited to: The incorrect cell number, electrical meter number, municipality, cell phone network,  email address or any other contact details.
  8. Disputes
    1. In the event of a dispute arising from these Terms and Conditions, Mr Prepaid and the user will negotiate a resolution at Mr Prepaid’s Offices. In the event of the negotiations being unsuccessful, the parties may then refer the matter to the South African courts.
  9. Limitation of liability
    1. Under no circumstances, including without limitation negligence, shall Mr Prepaid or its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, providers, suppliers or any other party involved in creating, producing, transmitting or distributing Mr Prepaid be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from or in connection with the use or inability to use Mr Prepaid or any other content provided by or through the site , or resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data or other information that is sent or received , including but not limited to damages for lost profits, use, data or other intangibles, even if Mr Prepaid has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
    2. Mr Prepaid or any affiliate shall have no liability to you in connection with any product, service or otherwise, purchased or used as a result of this site. It is expressly understood that the user is aware that Mr Prepaid provides a service to bring service provider and service consumer together and accepts no responsibility for the quality, reliability, safety, function, sustainability or otherwise, of a product purchased, service used, or otherwise, as a result of the use of this site.
